Shanbr, I'm sorry you are in so much pain...I hope you find some relief soon.
Perhaps I'm not the best person to answer this. I have never suffered from depression in the clinical sense....I've definately have been deeply saddened by differant life events but been able to go through a grieving process and been able to rebound. I do have my occassional pity parties, but try to keep them short.
I would have a hard time coping being in bed 24/7. It does us good to get out, being with people and having a change of scenery...pain or no pain.
It takes work for us to feel good but well worth it.
If you haven't been active, you are probably weak due to inactivity. Maybe you could discuss your feeling with a counselor or your doctor and start some type of activity program, PT or water therapy...something to build up some strength. Let your doc know how your pain affects your daily life.
Reconnecting with people, doing things you enjoy really does help. One of the biggest mistakes is becoming inactive because of pain, it only leads to more pain. Having fibro, pain is a part of life, but it is possible to still be active and have fun.
Be as open as you can with your doctor and ask what your options are. You can live a good life in spite of pain. Believe in yourself, you are stronger than you think. I'm pulling for you!!!! I want you to br able to have lots of fun with your hubby and kids :) Keep posting!!!
Hugs, Robin
