Hi, Michelle, and welcome! I take malic acid/magnesium supplements and they do help me and have helped others on this forum. There have been double blind studies done on this, too, and it does help with the pain and fatigue of fibro. But, like anything, what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another with fibro. But I'm glad you are getting help with the Alpha Lipoic Acid.
I totally agree with you about eating properly. We are a junk food and fast food society but I do eat fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats, and drink lots of water. I feel better that way. But, I have never noticed that a food has caused me more pain. I know some do. Some are very sensitive to gluten, dairy products and caffeine...even chocolate. But, for me, I've never noticed a difference. I just eat healthy and prepare things from scratch.
