We are 'fairly' sure it is hereditary in our case. My older sister was diagnosed twenty years ago, when it was a fairly new diagnosis. My brother has it as well, and he started being symptomatic fifteen years ago. I followed in my turn. We were all in our early thirties. we all have always had stress management issues and anxiety. We have another brother who may, or not, be symptomatic. I haven't seen him in a decade. the syndrome also explains a lot about
our deceased father.
At the time I was diagnosed, life was buzzing along well. No real problems or accidents. I was in a stable relationship, had just got my Dissertation prospectus passed, taken a research trip, and was doing a minor role in a show. I had also just lost 30 pounds.
It's a weird illness.
Just made a connection- Things have been worse for me in the past two years, after a bout with MRSA. Luckily, we caught it before it got out of control, but I have't been good since then.
