gabapentin question.

Went to the Neurolgist this morning to talk about my muscular dystrophy and my I do/I dont have it diagnosis. Anyway, while there I asked him about some headaches I was having that I havent been able to get any answer from other drs for. they run from in front of my ear to my temple. he decided to put me on gabapentin 300mg at bedtime for 5 days, then 600 for 5 days then 900. I am to stop though at the dosage which takes my headaches away and to see him in a month.
Anyone else use this? Ive heard it had been used in both fibro and migraines. so just wondered your experience. It would be really nice to actually be on a medication that worked for once, as Im sure you can all relate to:)

I took gabapentin for my fibro, but it didnt do a thing for me pain-wise. It did help me a bit to sleep; I was taking 500 or 600 mg at night, depending on how much I felt I needed. I have had migraine headaches since I was 8, and Ive never found any one thing that helps me every time. I hope you get it worked out.
