Hi, I'mNotCrazy! I can't remember if I welcomed you or not but if not...Welcome! I developed fibro in a 45 minute period while watching television....nearly 25 years ago. My toes started hurting, then my ankles, then knees, etc. When it hit my elbows it was like I had banged the "funny bone" and I had that horrible electrical-type pain shooting down my arms into my hands and this lasted for two weeks! It was unbelievable. I thought I had developed rheumatoid arthritis because both side of my body were involved but it turned out to be fibro.
Everyone has a different story about how they came down with fibro. Some was from accidents, bad health problems, stress, etc. This is one reason why this is a difficult illness to diagnose. Everyone is so different!
Be sure to read Fibro 101...the second thread on the forum. There are good links about fibro and you will learn a lot there. Good starting links are called Symptoms, What Else Could It Be, and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia. You might see yourself there.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
