Holding On...

 

Wrapped in a cocoon of bone crushing pain

deep breathing slowly, just to stay sane

 

Tears fill my eyes while I silently cry

I hold on to hope, I won't let it die

 

Praying this pain nightmare will come to an end

and hoping my attitude will be able to mend

 

Today I choose to laugh awhile

to be content and share my smile

 

To spend a day playing the crying game

is a waste of time and a crying shame

 

Life is too short and precious is time

to spend what is left to sit and whine
