Ok, this is a bit embarrassing,but Ive reached the end of my rope here.

For several months, since at least July, I have been having some serious problems with my cycle. Ive been having 2-10 days of bleeding every other week. Ive been to my gynecologist, had an ultrasound and blood work. Everything is normal. I have switched BCs from NuvaRing to Lo Loestrin Fe, and now to Ortho Tri-Cyclen. I was just wondering if anyone else has had these kinds of problems. Its really affected my personal life with my boyfriend, not to mention has sent my stress levels through the roof.

I am not sure your age, but I have the same problem going through menopause. It can be hard on a sexual relationship. Have they thought about stoping your cycle through meds? I am sure you had a ultrasound done to rule out others things. I had the Mirana placed in to control mine. It actually stopped mine. I know it gets old having to wear a tampax or Kotex 3 wks. of the month.

I wanted to ask your age, because I had a cycle every 20 days or so before they started spreading out. Now I haven't had one in almost two years. This could be perimenopause or premenapouse.
Try not to worry, but talk to your doc or a gyno.

I'm going in to have an endometrial ablation performed tomorrow. They're using Novasure (radiowaves burn the lining of the uterus causing about 90% of patients to have very light periods, some have no periods at all).

I sincerely hope you find something that works for you because I understand how frustrating cycle problems are. I bleed so heavily that I can barely leave the house for the first three days! Good luck and best wishes!!!

I had crazy cycles too before I had my endometrial ablation. I can't take bc's so the ablation took care of it.

2thebitterend, I had the Novasure too. I haven't had a period in about 4 1/2 years (this Oct will be 5 years). It's been a heaven sent!

Im 23. I did have the ultrasound to rule out any abnormal growths or cysts. Im pretty sure you dont get menopause that early lol

I see that an EA is permanent; I dont want to give up the chance of children. I thought about asking about an IUD, but they scare me; so many bad side effects...

I'm not sure if this has to do with the fibromyalgia (I'm a newbie... just diagnosed today), but I had the same problem about 4 years ago. I would get extra long periods, coming twice a month. I found mine was because of a medication I was taking for headaches (topamax). As soon as I stopped taking it, I was back to normal. I'm a little scared, because today my neurologist decided to put me back on topamax, but increasing the dose very slow. Fingers crossed it goes better this time around! Good luck to you!

I called my gyno today, she scheduled me to come in on Wednesday. When I told the nurse what was going on, I hear "Well, thats not good..." Not exactly what I wanted to hear :/ Im hoping its just that my body isnt liking the Pill. I really dont want to have to go back to buying the NuvaRing ($74) but...dang, this is just about enough to make me.
