Has the fog ever caused you a fashion blunder?

While at Walmart, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I was wearing two completey differant earings...one was a silver hoop earing and the other was a beaded dangly type. How did I manage to do that?I couldn't get my earings out quick enough.

Oh Robin, you know about the time I walked through a store with a pair of underpants hanging out of the bottom of my jeans....dragged them through the whole store.  Or was it a casino...don't remember.  I have worn two different shoes...gone out with a price tag hanging from my arm pit and sprayed my hair with Lysol.  Just recently I went to a restaurant with a 'post it' note stuck to the back of my coat...I guess I'm lucky it didn't say 'Kick me hard'.  I wish the hubby would pay more attention to what I look like...

Oh heck yeah.

I was the administrator of a home health medicare agency and I had set up a luncheon with the coordinators in the hospital. I arranged the food, had made sure everyone had his or her place and rushed over to the hospital in my car. I happened to look down and realized I was wearing one green shoe and one black shoe! They were the same make of shoe, but two different colors. Just what I needed on that day. I couldn't have been sitting behind a desk that day.

So, as I got up to the center of the front of the room to give my presentation, I couldn't help but feel like everyone would notice and I felt naked!! I had to confess to the room my blunder and, as each person's eyes drifted to the floor and over to my mismatched shoes, the roar of laughter resounded in the room. It was a tough sell that day.

Another time, I got up early and wiped my eyes and got dressed in the dark and put on a green, paisley, oversized shirt with mongo shoulder pads. I went grocery shopping and I almost got through the entire store when a worker, stocking the shelves, called me over to say, pssst, ma am, did you know you're wearing your shirt inside out? And as I looked over my shoulder while talking to the woman, I noticed the huge shoulder pad flapping in the breeze. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO embarrassed. I couldn't get out of that store fast enough and again I hurried to get home.

My husband helped me with bringing the groceries in and then sat down in his recliner, next to me as I relayed the story. When I got to that same part where the woman told me my shirt was inside out, he noticed the ginormous shoulder pad and I thought he was going to wet himself from laughing so hard and for so long. To this day, I don't think I have ever seen him laugh like that ever again.

God is humbling me. lol

I ran out the door last week... and you know what I forgot? Take the towel off my head (at least Dagger remembered to take it off LOL) I kid you not jumped on a bus wearing a towel on my head. A friend on the bus sent me a text message saying "psst you forgot to take the towel off" and I replied "oops" and I reached up took it off and said "didn't want to catch a cold in this freezing weather. is it just me or is it hot in here?" Mind you it was below freezing, so I was in 2 pairs of pants, 3 shirts, and kid you not one of those body snugglies (the one that looks like pj's without footies back in the days). So I took my towel off, tossed it in the bag, and stripped out of the body snuggly... everyone was cracking up.

I went to work once wearing two different shoes. They were a similar color, but one was a flat and the other a pump. I have also gone to the gym with my top inside out and backward. I attend water exercise classes, and usually put my swimsuit on under my clothing before I leave my house. The problem is that I have forgotten to put my bra and underwear into my bag to wear home after class on a couple of occasions. I have taken to keeping a back up set in my bag for this reason. I have also left home on numerous occasions without combing my hair, so I leave a comb or brush in the car at all times in case this happens.
