about
10 years ago, I started developing severe pain in both of my elbow joints. I remember they shot me with Cortisone once, and it helped a lot, for about
4 or 5 weeks. Then the pain started coming back.
So I asked the Dr to shoot me again. He was hesitant, but gave me another shot. That only lasted about 3 weeks.
When I asked for a third set of shots, the Dr. started telling me that "this would only hide the damage in my elbows"...... to which I immediately replied, "maybe if I was a normal case... but I don't believe their is any actual damage in my elbows... I think it's some sort of nerve problem". {didn't know about FM yet}
I still remember the Dr. looking at me kind of crazy, and then saying, "Well we have this test that will show the damage, in a type of X-ray"..... Of course I quickly added, "Or the lack of damage, too, right" ?
So, he did some kind of dye injection, then this special X-ray > and guess what ??? NO DAMAGE !!! Just pain ! Welcome to the world of FM, right ? :(
He shot me up once more after that, and while the initial effect was not as good, it really never came back as bad either. After literally 5 or 6 more years, one day I started thinking about it, and I could not remember the last time my elbows hurt.

Nowadays, if my elbows ever hurt, at least I have a good excuse.... Hard-core weightlifting will do that to an old guy ;)

PS, I had a cortisone shot in my feet a couple years ago too, "supposedly" for plantaar facitis. Did little to nothing. But after another 1 1/2 years in my new body, that pain has gone away too :)
