Hi AWI,
By 'his noises', did you mean snoring? I ask b/c if he is snoring, he should get checked for Sleep Apnea. I'm married almost 35 yrs and just this past yr my DH was finally dx w/ SA. He wears a CPAP mask to help w/ the snoring and restless sleeping. The whooshing air noise from this thing takes a cpl of nights to get used to (for me at least). He has several major health issues, so we are trying very hard to work on the issues we can take care of.
I take a Advil PM at bedtime. It helps me to sleep for several hrs. Unfortunately, I have a cpl of puppies that feel the pressing need to be walked bout 3:30 in the morning. I wake up, wake the little darlin's and try to go back to sleep. I just get my DH to the point of a more tranquil sleep and now I have puppies w/ weak bladders. lol I never learn.
On a personal note, my DH worked the overnight shift for 12 yrs, till he retired. We only slept in the bed together on Sat & Sun nights. I missed him terribly ALL those other nights. If possible, see if there is a medical reason for him being so restless. It might save both of you from being parted and maybe both of you can get a good night's sleep. Hope so.
God bless. Alice.
