your crazy fibro symptoms

Hello, new here. I'm twenty one and was diagnosed with lupus when I was twelve, this past year I have been displaying symptoms of fibromyalgia and was last week diagnosed. I wanna know your guys' crazy symptoms, the ones not on the symptoms list, the ones that make your feel like you're nuts;) it's always good to know you're not alone and losing it..

I'll start. Tonight I felt like my tendon in my forearm was all bunched up, like it was too tight. Like if I stretched my arm it would rip. And my teeth are chipping I just discovered. Is that a lupus or fibro thing?

the tendons in my left foot are wound tight too and if I bend it too far down I get a muscle cramp. My teeth were getting bad til I discovered I had a vitamin d defiency and was put on d3 then they got better.

that is so true I also have tmj and it causes the weird ear feeling(like they're swollen inside too)

I get butt spasms literally I hate those and I'm forever feeling like I'm on my period every other day.

Ahhh geeez ! What weird, messed up pain have I "NOT" experienced ???

Itching, stinging, burning, aching, twitching, inflamed, stiffness, soreness, etc, etc.....  I can hardly think of a part of my body that hasn't been effected !

BTW Winterhawk, I'm one of the few people I know of, to knock all of these symptoms waaay down into submission. I do still have quite a few weird, but pretty minor FM issues. > Just enough that I know I still have FM, and probably always will.

Also, just enough to make sure I don't forget all the hard work it took to get to this point, and to remind me I can never stop, until I'm ready to throw in the towel !

PS, But weird ones, you asked ? How about, waking up and having the whole lining of my mouth sloughing off, like I had burned the whole lining of my mouth with hot pizza cheese or something the day before ? Even though I had not eaten anything hot ?

Or here's a fun one... Sometimes, completely out of the blue, one, or both ankles, will suddenly feel like nails are being shoved into them ! Hurts so bad, I can hardly walk.... for maybe 30 or 60 seconds, then it completely vanishes, and my ankles are fine ?

Or, a REALLY bad one I used to get about once a week, and it lasted for 1-3 days each time (for close to 20 years !!!) was when my entire groin area, and around my thies, to my butt, would get really sore, and feel like I had been severely sunburned. My skin hurt to the touch. Pants made me miserable. I was so sure my groin must be beat red, and drenched in sweat. So I'd go in the bathroom, drop my pants, and my skin looked completely normal ! WTH ?!? Freaking FM ! Stupidest, weirdest, lamest disease on the planet !!!

the foot/ancle pain, the crazy muscle spasms for no reason, sharp tendon pain in arms that leaves me feeling like someone wound them too tight- deep ache that nothing but heat helps at all. Weird tasting water, grinding teeth at night-waking up ten times and strange dreams. Emmotions that run wild, daydreaming, saying the wrong word or not being able to find a word. Exhaustion and foggy after a decent sleep. Sudden shootin pain in groin. IBS for no apparent reasons. I'm sure there are more! Good luck!

Sherrine, I am so glad I found this forum and read your post! I also have the feeling that bugs are crawling all over me and was starting to worry that it may be a side effect of my oxycodone (15 mg..4-5/day). I have been at this dose for almost 2 years and it works ok but not as good as it used to.
Lately I have been having low grade fevers, usually around 102-103, several times a week. I had a SED rate test earlier this week and finally it shows some elevation..had that test several times already and of course it was always normal. I am having it repeated next week and getting a refferal to a Rheumy.
I have had fibro for about 6 years, but have only been diagnosed for 3. Along with the creepy "bugs" feeling, I also get sudden sharp pains that come out of nowhere, last about a minute or 2 and are gone as suddenly as they appeared. The worst symtpom by far, other than the constant pain, is the brain fog. I hate not being able to find the word I want, resorting to a long description rather than the word itself. Or having to ask my kids to help me find the word I'm looking for when I'm trying to write a paper without sounding like an idiot. This fog also causes me to forget how to get around in my hometown where I have lived for almost 30 years. I once panicked 5 blocks from home because I thought I was lost! Thankfully my daughter was with me to remind me we were right down the street!

Hi all Im new here Im 38 was diagnosed with fibro about 3years ago RA when I was 29 and ulcerative colitis when I was 21 I am looking forward to getting to know everybody. I have been struggling recently with a lot of pain and 3 months of infection from compromised immune system which has brought me here since it is hard for family and friends to understand what I am going throug which I am sure you all understand :)

Tremmors like the ground is shaking and the crazy thing is when it happens I never think it's fibro! I'm always like "hey did you feel that earthquake everyone?" ...no...no they didn't ha ha. I also get the crawling feeling in my legs like they are vibrating from the inside too. But the most insane symptom I've ever had was on a scar on my side. It felt like it was bleeding, my shirt even felt wet against my skin. Sure eneough though there was nothing there. That's likely some nerve damage tho and not fibro.

I've never had creepy crawly or bug feelings, but on several occasions I've felt like I stepped in a pile of dog doo only to find nothing there! Haha, weird stuff.. Anyone else feel like they're being jabbed with needles, or zapped with electricity in their finger and toe tips?
