Hi,

Am I doing something wrong when I post a question? I've got 6 messages out there. Please let me know If I am posting properly. People are reading them but are not answering.

Sometimes the board is moving slow with replies due to members being in flares. I am in the midst of a flare, I have only some advice on some subjects, I am not a medical expert, and I have been having computer problems for a few days.

We have some members that have had deaths in their families in the last few weeks.

I can assure you that you aren't being ignored. ;) Sometimes things are slower on the boards than at other times. Welcome to the forum.

Sometimes during the day it gets slow around here. Lots of folks still work or are busy with daily chores.

This is a good place for venting, advice and support. But give us a few hours, as Mrs says, we are struggling with fibro and lots of other afflictions.

Have you been diagnosed with fibro yet? Are you on any meds for fibro? Is fibro your sole diagnosis? Alot of us struggle with deression and chronic pain.

Perhaps if you could a little more of your story. I don't go see the doc every time I have a new symptom usually, unless it is very bothersome. Is that what you were asking?

Welcome! I can't remember if I've met you yet. Don't take it personally - it's just the fog! (and in my case, the fog is often so thick I feel like I could reach out and grab a big chunk! ;)

We just get busy or preoccupied, or - who knows what. If this happens to a lot of people at the same time, it really slows things down. There's no typical day.

So yes, we are here for you. It might just take awhile. (Also, the more you post, the sooner people will begin to get you in their minds.) There are a lot of members, and as Maggie said, many of us have multiple conditions and spend time on other HW forums.

valentine- I am usually on every day and love to respond to people. I live in Alaska so I am behind from the lower 48 in time. I usually dont get on till late evening. Then sometimes it's the next day for most everybody. I will read your post later tonight. I have to go some where right now.

You have to remember that there isn't always someone on the forum to even read your posts.  Our members do help a lot and our responses are far faster than other fibro forums from what I have heard.  Also, the mods are volunteers and we also have fibro and other illnesses.  Plus, everyone here has a life outside the forum.  So you do need to be patient.  Sometimes you might be fortunate and ask a questions and be answered right away....but that is rare.

 

Also, when it shows that your post has been read, some of those could be "lurkers" and not members.  Lurkers don't join but do read posts.  If they aren't members, they can't respond to your post.
