(No Subject)

Quuick question Nal do your joints hurt when you press them also? I am new and trying to figure all this out. I have had intermittent "fevers" all summer after a really big activity. Joint pain and my body burns all over like a flu and my skin is sensitive. I am seeing a rheumatologist and all tests are norm. It is now just a wait and see if meds are going to work. I do have psoriasis now 15+yrs. Any help would b appreciated?

It's like our bodies overreact to stimuli. Pain volume knob is cranked really high. I bumped my thumbnail into the steering wheel of my car the other day and it hurt so ridiculously badly that I put my thumb into my Smoothie King drink!

Acceptance of how my body reacts differently had really helped me 'go with the flow,' and the more I don't stress about the weird things that go on with my body, the less weird things happen.

I also try to do everything I can to keep my nervous system calm. No caffeine, no scary/stressful/ overly stimulating movies or TV shows for example.

Joints aching, feeling like you have the worst flu of your lifer-- is "normal" with Fibromyalgia. The good news is that even though you feel like you're going to die, you won't. It is very miserable, but if I had to pick a bad medical condition out of a hat, Fibro would be one of the better selections in my opinion.
