Now I am really angry!

For those of you who read my last post....you will understand this one. I am passed pissed. It was tough enough to hear last week that I had sarcoidosis...but it only gets better. I was getting the run around trying to get a copy of the CAT scan that was taken. So, I called the hospital and managed to get myself a copy.

HOLY CRAP...it says that my records show a history of sarcoidois (no one told me this before), and that I have large and small pleural effusions and that these could be related to sarcoidosis. AND lymph node enlargement to boot. My first available time is July for this appointment. He is the top doctor in region.

Here is why I am so pissed. I have ALWAYS kept on top of my medical issues....as most of us have. When I was in hospital in 2009 for the entire summer...it was horrendous. If I had been aware.....then the last year of my telling my primary doctor (no, he wasn't given any reports) about the pain in my side forever (thought it was adhesions) and that my hair is falling out in clumps......I would have had background to help myself. In the scheme of things....I have been the researcher most of my adult life starting with having to inform my US doctors that I had fibromyalgia back in 80's after a World Health doctor on my cruise diagnosed me and sent a extensive letter to my doctor here.

Why doctors refuse to fill us in with all those little details is beyond me. Reading that malignant process cannot be entirely excluded REALLY gives confidence to these doctors.

I am whining.....no, I am not whining.....I am outright ANGRY. I feel sorry for the doctor's office that is going to be the recipient of my next call.

Hi....

Yesterday, I called the pulmonary doctor's office and told them that a fax of the CAT scan was on the way to them. I explained that although my appointment was scheduled for July....I was very upset and perhaps I was misreading the results since my other doctor never saw fit to explain it to me.

First thing this morning....they called and he wants to see me this coming week. I will be there.

It's ironic that I am the one to send the report and not the referring doctor. What is up with that?

I am still very uneasy...but, I thank God for this forum. Searching out on the internet for information has really been an eyeopener. There is so much overlapping symptomatolgy for fibromyalgia and sarcodosis....it's like which came first...the chicken or egg.
