Oh, golly! By quitting, you are not eligible for unemployment but you are eligible for COBRA if you had health insurance with your company. I wish you had stayed, explained your problem and let them lay you off. My daughter did what you did and it's rough out there.
BUT, I would suggest that you get COBRA and go to some employment agencies and look for a job that you think you can handle. Desk jobs wouldn't be too bad if you are able to get up and walk around a few minutes about every half hour. You do that at home, I hope.
If you don't think you can work anymore and your doctors agree, then you could go for Social Security Disability. If you do get it, you only get 71% of what you normally would have gotten. I had to do that because I couldn't find health insurance that would take me on after my husband died and my COBRA was running out. With SS disability I do receive Medicare and that has been a lifesaver for me.
