Misdiagnosed and upset about it

For years I've been so forgetful and tired and easily upset and things like that.. also had strange unexplainable pain in my legs etc for a very long time. The doctor kept fobbing me off always saying its sciatica. When I explained that I was worried about forgetting things its like.. he just looked at me with a blank expression. I collapsed in his office with extreme pain and he did nothing.. nothing at all... just shook my hand and said goodbye.. have a nice day etc etc. I was supposed to believe I was fine.. so I went.. and it was four months before I went up to the hospital and they found some evidence of a blood clot which was probably what was causing all the pain,.. now he had mentioned sciatica and then later on Fibromyalgia and I just couldn't believe that something like sciatica could cause so much pain. At the hospital I got treatment for a blood clot but they couldn't find the actual clot, thats because I had a terrible period and all the blood came out and clots and everything it was really bad and really painful and horrible. They couldn't find it because it came out like that and you know what? The gynocologist told me that couldn't happen .. it was impossible. I've been in pain ever since, I do think that now fibromyalgia has set in, as kind of a side effect of somethng else.. but getting the doctor to understand that this is a lot of pain is really difficult.

I feel like I must have had Fibromyalgia for a long time but maybe not so severe till I had that blood clot which seems to have made things worse.

How old are you? I am going through menopause stuff and it causes or can exacerbate a lot of symptoms. I am sorry it is a rough time and so many doctors have ZERO people skills! We do understand the frustration and it is scary beyond belief sometimes.
