Anyone use it regularly?

I am having a bit of a flare today, and decidedto try some of my sister's large collection of essential oils, which I have adopted.

I do feel a littlebetter. lavender on my pulse pounts, some aches and pains oil on my neck, and some apple fresh on my face.

I am glad that you can enjoy the essential oils. I use oils on my skin and a lot of different creams. I love the feeling of soft skin. I grow some herbs and love to smell them. I think it does help us to feel better. I keep a rosemary plant in my window. And have different herbs outside growing.

The really good ones for pain are the mint oils. They work like sportscream would. Metnhol.

If you would like an easy and effective way to use essential oils, take a look at the aromatherapy patches sold by Wyndmere Naturals. (http://wyndmerenaturals.com/store/home.php?cat=116)
They are easy to use and last up to 8 hours. They have four different scents and are used by hospitals across the country. It is like your own personal diffuser.

Hi. I've used lavender for calming, peppermint oil for nausea and wintergreen can used for aches like headaches. I love them.

I just put together a spray with orange and lavender oil. I do have to say it is pleasant!

My sister used them for years, and I brought home her large collection after she died. I am planning on getting an infuser, but as of right now I have the low tech spray bottle.

I did have a time getting them through security at the airport. My plastic bag was a little too large.

I almost missed your first post. I would like to welcome you to the forum and thank you for the site on essential oils. That was very kind of you to share.

I hope that you stick around, this is a wonderful place to come and visit. You make good friends here too. I have made many.

Do check out the thread called "fibro 101". You didn't say anything about fibromyalgia, but I am assuming you have it as you posted here. But fibro 101 is a wonderful thread and very insightful.

The essential oils should be mixed in a carrier oil and not used neat, or straight. You can do some serious damage to yourself with these oils. Some more than others. Never use Tea Tree straight. Get a book and see how to mix them with a carrier oil.

A carrier oil could be olive, walnut, almond, etc.
