I went to the waterfront blues festival in portland on the 4th, volunteered 4 hrs at the caring ambassadors booth trying to get people to test for hep C. Stayed through the fireworks and had to wait a long time for a train home that wasn't an overloaded sardine can. All told...15 hrs out and about
. I had planned on volunteering again today but just called and switched my shift to tomorrow.
but dang, it was fun!
Today my knees and ankles are (subjectively, lol) swollen and walking is difficult. It feels like when I walk the knee joint wants to pop out (owchie)...I always know I've had a good time when my neck starts to hurt from head-bobbing to the music but this time the pain goes all the way down my spine.
Too much a good thing? Maybe, but very rewarding talking to my fellow heppers and festers...and I can never get enough of the blues. This is my 24th consequtive year attending this festival. http://www.waterfrontbluesfest.com/
Crazy fun!!!
