I tried about 3 days of no medication at all, only my vitamins. I was really adamant that I was going to go without them, but I was sooo miserable and it didn't improve, so for a couple days I tried just taking Advil but it felt no different. So the next day I decided to cut a Tramadol pill in half. I took one at 9 in the morning and the other half at 3 pm when I started feeling bad again. That seemed to do the trick.
At bedtime, I've been taking just half of a Flexeril and a Benadryl (full size of the Benadryl but just one pill not two like it suggests on package).
Well the 1/2 Flexeril and the Benadryl together at bedtime seem to do the trick for me pretty well. I did find when I wasn't taking the Flexeril, I would wake up to an arm or leg jerking, so that's when I decided to try Flexeril again.
It must be just the right balance. A whole Flexeril is too much for me, it takes me most of the day to come out of a fog from it. By taking the Tramadol only in the day, and half doses at that, it wears off mostly by the time I take the Flexeril.
I have had two nights of sleeping very soundly for NINE hours. This is unbelievable to me. I know exactly how long I'm sleeping since the CPAP keeps track of that. That I can sleep that long with the CPAP too is really great. Hope it will continue.
The doctor doesn't seem too great at explaining how to use the medications. I had to figure this out for myself.
