I’ve had Fibro for well over ten years (Lost count, gave up
trying to keep track) along with asthma and CFS.
The last 18 months or so I’ve been getting repeatedly
compressed nerves in my should (Ulnar and Median). It seems to me like it’s the
shoulder muscles contracting so hard that it’s them squishing the nerve.
When the nerve gets smooshed the only way to relieve it is
myotherapy on the shoulder. Once the lovely lady find the right spot to stick
her thumb, and my entire shoulder explodes in pain, the muscles relax and the
nerve seems to come free.
Then it’ll tighten up again a few days later, and the whole
process repeats.
I find that when my asthma’s been bad and the shoulder
muscles have been over worked cos I’m breathing differently the nerve
compression is a lot worse.
Is it actually possible for the muscles to be contracting to
the point that they’re smooshing the nerves?
