Anyone else see to notice bursitis tends to be around the same time?

Hi, I wondered if it is only me?? I tend to get bursitis usually in the summer. It is always my right elbow. I use to think it was from all the typing and clicking of the mouse that I did at work. Now I'm not sure about the work part, since I have been on unemployment since January. But it still happened in the dead heat of summer. It just hurts so bad. I told my rhuemy about it and he gave me this cream voltaren gel. It really isn't doing a whole lot. But I was curious to know if anyone else notices a certain time that it hits them?

My left elbow hurts the most when I'm in my flare mode.

Voltaren gel will work for some people and not for others. I've found a tendonitis strap helps the pain during bad flares. You can find them at your local drug store or superstore.

**Don't let the doc inject cortisone in it. It won't last more than 2 weeks and too many of them will mess up the bone joint.

I have bursitis in my hips in the fall. I love the voltran gel. I also like the injections. I used the gel instead of the injections last time and it held me over. Those elbow straps do help.

Strange I saw my pm doctor this morning and he says you have bursitis just matter of fact like, I sat in shock as he says I will be needing cortisone injections in both hips. I thought my right hip was sore due to my back surgery you know I was using it more? I am having a problem explaining it tonight.

Thanks doc I really hope you explain things a bit better in the future I mean come on I drove an hour for a 5 minute appt.

I will have to see if this gel is available here because I would rather not get more cortisone shots they mess with my diabetes so badly.
