Yikes....I'm not going to lie....it's going to be a pretty tough trip. I know for me there is no way I could do it by bus as with driving I can stop whenever I want..usually every couple of hours as well as stay the night in hotels. Or I go by plane or trane so I can get up and walk the aisles.
They say you aren't allowed to get up from your seat while the bus is moving. I'm not even sure of whether you can use the bathroom while moving or not either so check on that.
You should call now and ask these sort of questions and ask how many stops they make per how many hours.
Do you have it planned to where you exchange buses or do they stop for overnight stays in a hotel? I've never been on a bus more than a few hours.
You've been given good suggestions with books (I use Audible and listen to mine on my phone/computer), dvds...Make sure you bring good headphones. And yes...small pillow and your own blanket. As well as good and healthy snacks, meals, and drinks (preferably water or tea). Try not to do things with lots of salt or high sugar/simple carbs.
And make sure any medication you have is in it's original containers. It would definitely be the time to have a good muscle relaxer or as suggested the Flector platches for inflammation.
Just be VERY mindful of your meds, (only take them in the bathroom) so that NO ONE sees you taking them, or even talk about them, for possible theft. And if you take something like a sleep med or something that makes you a bit loopy....make sure your valuables (money, credit cards, license) are all secured.
I would actually wear a thin, money belt that is flat and goes underneath your shirt and keep all the things I just mentioned, minus the meds, in there and not in your purse.
Is this already a done deal and there is no possible way to take a plane or train if you can't drive?
