Awhile back, I bought a pedometer...I love to walk. My goal was to walk 10,000 steps a day...that is about
5 miles. I would wear the pedometer all day long and sometimes I would reach my goal.
Walking became more difficult for me due to shortness of breath. In August, I found out that I had adenocarcinoma of my right lung and had my lower lobe of my lung removed. Each day I have gotten stronger, and am back to my daily walking. There are days that I have shortness of breath and am careful not to push it.
I just started wearing my pedometer again and find it does encourage me to walk more. Exercise is the best thing for fibro and walking seems to be what helps me with getting the kinks out and energizing me. If you haven't tried wearing a pedometer...it is worth trying.
Enjoy the day.
