LTD Approved!!

Hopefully, this will help to reduce your stress re bills and such.

I know how difficult this has been for you. My DH was on STD and no dr would back him for LTD. NOBODY wanted to sign the darn papers. We had to get a lawyer. After much fighting, he was approved for LTD.

He also was approved for SSD. The SSD Appointed dr examined him and signed off on it so fast, it would make your head spin. He is still waiting for the Medicare - he is still in that 2 yr waiting period. BUT it's coming.

Joy, that is wonderful. I still receive long term insurance after 3 years. Plus I am getting social security. It was a life saver for me while waiting for social security. I had cobra going while waiting for Medicare to kick in. I didn't let my long term get involved in my social security. I did that on my own. The only thing you have to have paper work filled out very frequently by your Dr's. My Dr's said they are looking for a reason not to pay you. I will give you a hint- make sure each of your Dr's right the same thing down. They look for wrong info between all the Dr's. I make sure I see the paperwork before they fax it. You be surprised how busy the dr's and nurses get and fill out the wrong info. I usually make a dr. Appointment and we fill them out together. I use to have paper work done every 3 months. Now it's been a year sice I heard from them besides receiving the check each month.
