cymbalta makes me vomit and keep going back to bed

Hi, I'm new here. I was finally officially diagnosed with fibro. I came off effexor a couple of months ago and have been struggling with depression and anxiety along with fibro and other related medical conditions. I was put on 30mg of cymbalta starting on Wednesday morning and have been very very ill. I am meant to up the dosgae in a week but am not sure i can handle feeling this bad. I vomit within 20mins of taking my thyroid meds so then take the procalm to ease it and then the next cymbalta dose. I can hardly keep anything down, have totally lost my appetite, wired yet flat, want to stay in bed all day but can't stay asleep, get hold and cold within seconds or stay hot for awhile.... should i stick with it? should i keep at this dose and not go up? do my thyroid meds make me ill with it as they have to be taken first thing on an empty stomach? how long until this ill feeling lets me get up and moving properly again?

Hi, Tishlet, and welcome!  I agree with Almost Medfree.  You do need to let your doctor know what is going on.  On Drugs.com the first bad side effect is nausea.

 

Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:

• nausea, pain in your upper stomach

There are quite a few members who can't take Cymbalta so you are not alone there.  There are other things the doctor can prescribe that won't cause this to happen to you.

Tishlet- I hope your having a better day. If not I hope you call your Dr. about the med. We all react so different to the meds. Many of us can tell you it's like finding that right key that fits. I had gone through several antidepressents before I found that right one. Now I love mine. Hopefully it will come soon for you. The one I take has something in it for anxiety also. It really helps at night for me. It shuts my brain down from racing thoughts.
