HI! First, though i wish you did not need to be here, welcome. I am by far no expert and others maybe able to help you more. The sleeping: I have trouble falling to sleep but i always thought it was because i can not turn my brain off. Hubby lays his head down and he is alseep. My rheumy wants me to go to a sleep study because she says people with fibro often have trouble sleeping. I do wake up at night in pain, but since i usually do not fall asleep till i am exhausted, I sleep like a rock once asleep.
For some movement and physical activity can cause flares. I have other issues that make it hard to walk very far but some maybe because of the fibro.
Basically, everyone is different and fibro affects them differently. Others can help better than me.
You will find that people DO understand here while a lot of people in your life will not. I love this site. You will not ask any dumb questions,to me if the question is important enough for you to ask, it is not dumb. We are here to hear from others and get answers to anything we wonder about if possible.
