I'm sorry you are having these concerns, but I think it is very common. You are not foolish, you're HUMAN.
My DM was dx w/ breast cancer in '98, she had the surgery, did the chemo and radiation. She took the oral meds the rest of her life. Yet, each time she had an appt w/ the oncologist and they would send her for x-rays, that fear would return.
I took her for the appts w/ dr and any labs or procedures, so I knew how tense she was re the outcome. When she would get the report back from the dr of 'negative', we would both have a sigh of relief. She would also do things to distract herself, reading, wallking, hanging out w/ me and saying her rosary.
It is normal to worry, but you will find your balance in coping w/ these next few days. You are a very strong lady, we all know that. We are all praying for you to have a good visit, w/ the dr suitably impressed w/ your tremendous recovery. Then you should go out to lunch to celebrate!
