Party time!

In my state it's a reason for a party tomorrow. We will be gaining daylight Saturday. Yes!!! It might be by seconds, but we're moving up on the clock. My mind tells me I can make it! We have 5 hrs. of daylight now. My sad light is my best friend. I am so glad I invested in a very large one. I don't think those desk top ones would give me enough light.

I tried that one time. I didn't like it because it wasn't worth all the time for ten minutes. I love the heat, so I could soak in it for hrs. I know that can't happen in a tanning booth. Now with so much cancer it seems like less people are not using them as much. For some reason I woke up with pain, using my heating pad now.

Karen- I hope you enjoy the snowshoes. My husband loves them. I just heard the weather report for Alaska. It made a record again. 2012 has been the coldest year in 3 decades. Summer was old and winter -20 in the morning. I guess I should be happy. 4 hrs from Anchorage is -45. Anchorage is a heat wave compared to up North. I now know why I have a few more aches this year. I had to laugh at myself today at the Dr's office. My Dr. was trying to do a good exam on me and I had 3 layers of clothes on. She said well this is Alaska. Lol

fishchris- I can make it now bcause in june we will have 19 hrs of day ight. This system plays on your mind. We even do day light saving time. Crazy! Yes, I take lots nof vitamin D. They are real good to check peoples vitamin D in Alaska. Most Alaskans are deficiet. We have a very high suicidal rat and depression rate in the nation. Lots of the statistics comes from the eskimos in the villages. They go through a lot. Lots of them still live in the back days. They hunt whale and salmon is drying. They go through bruital tempeaturs of -70 degrees. It's unfornatate the teenagers suffer deep deprssion and then it goes bad fom there.

You have to be careful on monitoring your vitamin D level. I learned that the hard way. I got a kidney stone from too much vitamin D. Mine got 4 times the high it should of been. Dr's never told me to recheck it. So I was on the very high doses and I just like a nut I took them for several months.

Sherri- I am so ready for Florida. I never wear sunglasses and I don't like them. I know many Alaskans wear them, but I feed on all the rays I can. Lol. We had a very cold summer last year. I was surprised my flowers survived. Many if my friends lost their flowers.
