I dont know where to start but all i know is i hurt really bad. The doctors seem to not really think much is wrong with me and i even went to the ER one night and all they did was a blood test told me i was fine and sent me home.

Thought i would ask you experts :). A few years ago i would constantly wake up sore and after i would walk around for awhile it would go away. My chest would hurt occasionally and pop a lot. Now fast forward to the last 4 or so months. Since i started my new job where i stand on concrete all day and probably walk 5 miles a day helping customers. I have had these symptoms. These are the things that always hurt me- right side of jaw, chest hurts really really bad when i lay down to sleep, constantly wake up about every hour and usually sweating, under my right shoulder blade there is one spot that hurts and it seems directly linked to my chest, my neck is constantly sore, left knee is always sore, and my feet really really hurt esp my heels, also the sides of my hips are very sore and i notice only when i sleep. occasionally my lower back hurts/ gets really weak, and my right hamstring will bother me.

I thought maybe i just feel this way because I work all day, but I think this is more serious then that. When i sit down i get extremely sore and when i wake up in the morning its almost to the point where i can barely move. some times when i wake up my chest will hurt so bad it takes me 10 mins to get out of bed, then when i try to stand my feet hurt so bad.

Ive been to the doctor a few times in December before my 26th bday so it went on my dads insurance so now i need to get my own insurance before i can go back. I've read a lot on this and I'm really starting to think i could possibly have it. The doctors checked my blood for muscle deteriation and that came back negative, and my regular doctor checked my urine for a bunch of things and that all came out fine.

I'll continue to read up on this site, but i wanted to hear some opinions. I constantly read about the tender points and i'm not tender at all on those points. Ibuprofen has seem to be helping a little bit. Thats all i got for now. Thanks everyone!

Did you get tested for Lyme Disease? Lyme Disease can cause fibro along with a ton of other syptoms, over 200 to be exact. But it does make you very tired, affects your joints. ANd the more serious it gets, it can affect every single organ in your body to do nearly everything. Many people that have lyme, also have other co-infections from ticks, and Babesia and Bartonella (co-infections) which are known to cause night sweats.

Unfortunatly, many times testing for Lyme Disease is unreliable. Best lab is called Igenex. You can look them up on the internet. Also, find yourself a Lyme specialist because most primary care doctors don't understand the disease well enough to even diagnose it without a blood test. They see a negative blood test and say that you don't have it, when in fact, Lyme Disease is a clinical diagnosis, not one based on blood.

I'm not sure what all they looked for with the blood test, just said they were gonna check for muscle deterioration. They seemed annoyed when i was in the ER for just being "sore" being it was New years morning 2am and they were probably dealing with drunk idiots. They wouldn't even write me a note for work, so i asked them if they though i was faking or something. The Urine test the doctor gave me said everything came back negative and " your urine culture did not grow infection" what ever that means. it lists Glucose, bilirubin, ketones, occult blood, proteim, nitrite, leukocye esterase, all those were negative.

Went for my chest he said its just inflammation in my chest and my lungs and heart sound great. I'm just getting annoyed at the doctors acting like its not a big deal. I need to go back, I know you guys aren't doctors but just thought i would talk to some people that know my pain instead of explaining it to people that have no idea how horrible i feel.

Hello, Tizzakowak, and welcome to the Fibro forum.

I'm so sorry you're going through so much pain. Whether you have Fibro or not, you really need to find a doctor who will take you seriously. They ARE out there, but sometimes it seems they're impossible to find. I was miserable, (not too much older than you) and starting to think I was either crazy or dying, when I finally found one. That made all the difference, and I started to get some relief.

Of course, all that standing and walking on concrete has to be terrible for your body....as you obviously know. But jobs are so hard to find these days, so if you're stuck with it, I feel for you.

You said you've been reading on this site - did you happen to notice our first thread, "Fibro 101"? It's a really helpful one. Even we old-timers refer back to it. I hope you'll keep posting, because we really do care. It's so comforting to know there's a place where people understand. Good luck.

Ya, I've been going though all the threads on the 101. I just graduated college and got my first management job, if this continues i may have to find a different job now that i have experience. I honestly dont know know whats worse standing because my back and feet hurt so bad or sitting because my whole body tightens up.

Hi, Tizzakowak, and welcome!  Much of what you described sounds like fibro but it also sounds like some other illnesses too.  You see, many of the symptoms of fibro are symptoms of other illnesses and you need to get those other illnesses ruled out first before a diagnosis of fibro is given.  Make sure your doctor believes that fibro is a true illness and that he treats fibro patients.  There still are some doctors out there that think fibro is a garbage can illness. 

 

Good starting links for you in Fibro 101 are calles Symptoms, What Else Could It Be, and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia.  You just might see yourself there!  Read back posts, too.  There is a wealth of info in those also.

Well, just a little or maybe big update. I have been to the doctor a few more times and even the ER again. They did a bunch of tests on me again and they all came back negative. blood sugar was normal, sodium and potassium was normal, thyroid testing was normal, white count was normal and i am not anemic. The rheumatoid test was negative and so what the lupus test. The only thing that came back bad was my inflammation level..... my lever was 5.6 and .8 is the range that i should be in :|. That number scares me a little bit.

They scheduled me for a appointment with a rheumatologist on the 30th, i have been already waiting a few weeks for the appointment, i guess there is long waiting lines to get in and there isn't even one in my home town.

Since the last appointment i have not slept for more then 20 mins at a time because my body gets so sore that i have to switch sides constantly from my right to left side. I cant lay on my back or chest because my chest hurts so bad. And also one last thing that is really scaring me is i mentioned before that my left knee has hurt but now it is so swollen, you cant even see my kneecap. Ive been thinking about going to the doctor for that but I've just been waiting for my appointment on the 30th. At this point i have no idea what is wrong wit me and I'm pretty scared.
