I got my denial today. It says "based on a review of your health problems you do not qualify for benefits on this claim. This is because you are not disabled under our rules".

First thing  I did was call the lawyer who represented me on the ssi (one based on income) years ago. I no longer have it since dh made too much. I set the appt for January 30th at 4 pm so dh will try to get off work early to take me. I need him there. They are emailing me paperwork and info on what i need to bring with me.

:( Sorry for the denial. I did not realize that SSI counted your DHs income. I am single, so I do not have to worry about that. I hope that the attorney can do something to help you. Drying to qualify for disability of any type is like pulling teeth!! (((hugs)))

There's 2 types of disability. One of them is based off of what you have paid into the system over a certain frame the other is needs based. The needs based one dies include your spouses income.
Get a lawyer and keep fighting. Make aure you have a dr behind. Remember this could take a long time.

My pcp says I will be approved eventually. she does not doubt it. My neuro said i can not work due to the brain damage. I did expect a denial. They say the deny 70% the first time. It goes down a lot when you appeal. I know this lawyer group is good. So have fingers crossed.

Lady-glad you have a good attitude about your denial. Just keep trucking!! Hopefully it will come soon. I am very thankful to be on disability. I have good and bad days and it makes it hard to keep a job because of this.
