Hi Everyone,
I had quite a day yesterday. I was wondering if anyone has ever had a reaction to a food that included a fibro flare with much increased pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and severe shaking.
I did something very dumb at lunch time. I was trying to cut my meat and it landed on the floor. I never eat food from the floor but I picked it up and ate it. Then at supper time I ate a homemade lentil soup made with homemade beef broth which was made from beef bones. When I defrosted the broth I was going to throw out the fatty part but my fiance told me that was where the flavor was. So I kept it in.
My neck was more sore than usual yesterday afternoon but after supper my body began burning up with inflammation. My neck pain from an old injury became severe a few hours later. Also my nausea increased little by little after supper. By the time bedtime came I was very weak and a one time bout of vomiting came on and a one time bout of diarrhea. I just about made it to the toilet. I hope this isn't too gross.
Just before this episode coming out from under my afhgan when it was time for bed I felt cold and I began shaking violently. My fiance had to help me walk around and get into the bath tub. I felt better after soaking in the tub.
One thing else to mention, I'd like to know if when you're in a flare to you feel more negative about your situation and about things in general. I was watching TV during my increasing flare and I felt very negative about what I was seeing on the screen and as the flare became worse my negativity became worse. It was really strange.
What I was wondering is how can a person's stomach be so sensitive and bring on a flare? Does this sort of thing happen to anyone else?
Thanks for reading this.
