Hi, Rocknroll, and welcome! My best suggestion would be is to find a board certified rheumatologist that works with fibro patients. Be sure to ask first because there are still doctors out there in the Dark Ages when it comes to this illness. Rheumatologists can diagnose fibro and also other illnesses that act like fibro. Fibro is not supposed to be a progressive illness so she might have something else going on along with fibro. That happened to me last year. Not all pain is caused by fibro.

Check your yellow pages, too. Many times doctors will have ads that list what ailments they treat and you can see if they are board certified, too. My doctors all are board certified and are also diplomates.

You could look in you local phone book to see if there are any fibromyalgia support groups in your area. Your local hospital might be able to help, too. These support groups would know the names of good doctors in your area.

I wish I could be of more help but this is what I did when I moved to a new area. You can get doctor info online along with reviews, too.

I hope your wife will come to this forum. We have a wonderful group of members who love to help one another and, as a bonus, we really do care about each other too. I think she would like it here.

Thank you all for your quick help. Unfortunately, my wife has a tough time talking about her condition, hense the reason I am the one reaching out. I'll try to get her to participate. I will take your advise and keep searching.
