This may be somewhat O/T, but I learned an important lesson recently that I would like to share.
I sprained my foot last week (right, of course) and can't walk or drive. Many of us have conditions that flare with no warning, and this crazy foot thing was just out of the blue. It's going on a week and a half now, and while I can hobble a bit, driving and shopping is still out of the question.
I learned quickly that it is very important to have backup supplies if possible. I realize finances and space are definitely considerations, but I have been so grateful that I had an additional supply of items I use or need, especially health care items. If you've ever tried to send a family member or friend out to get a specific OTC eye drop, feminine hygiene item, etc. you know where I'm coming from, lol.
I was also grateful that I had a stock of frozen and canned veggies and fruit. The fresh stuff goes pretty quickly when you can't get out to replace it.
