Hi almost medfree: You ask a great question!
I think we should be doing all we can to move ahead. I, too, prefer the more natural approaches. I find that when I have to take meds, I'm more sleepy and not myself the rest of the day. Then, it seems like it takes a day or two to get back on track.
On the other hand, there are times I feel I need to take medication for fibro, and I'm thankful I have it. But I sure prefer not to take it! I really like a more natural approach, and watching out for sugar is a biggie for me.
We do have to 'listen' to our bodies and do all we can to improve ourselves--sometimes at a snail's pace, but moving, just the same. I think that's mentally healthy, too.
You might be interested in a post from last week, where I mentioned listening to a program on the highly sensitive person. I really found it beneficial in putting together more pieces of the puzzle, and I can now see how it easily could fit with fibro.
Good thought-provoking post, almost medfree! Have a good week.
