Fibromayalgia, Cymbalta nausea

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about a year ago and began Cymbalta Monday. Every time I've taken it I'm so nauseated I truly want to cry. I was curious if anyone else has had this & how long the nausea continues.

I had terrible experience with this also. Jerking, twitches, made me really restless. I also felt some nausea with it. only stayed with it 3 days!!!I have a friend with fibro and she started it a couple of weeks ago, at first gave her terrible nausea and sickness, but then after a week wore off and its now working fine for her.
I would say give it a couple of weeks, if you can bear it and then see if it wears off, if not chat to the doctor and see what advice they can give.

I was on Cymbalta for about 3 years and had great success with it helping my nerve related pain.

I get nausea with pretty much any new medication I take. As well as with Cymbalta, many people, including me, had this side effect along with it curbing my appetite and feeling a bit "wired" and had trouble falling asleep when I took it in the morning.

What helped me was switching and taking my dosage at night after eating dinner. The nausea was helped by ginger tea and went away after a few weeks.

You will find all sorts of pros/cons about any medication or treatment when searching online. It's really about speaking with your Dr. and seeing if it subsides in the next few weeks as most side effects will do.
