Anxiously awaiting my blood results

I had blood work done a few weeks ago, and am still waiting on the results. Hopefully tomorrow I will hear from someone and get some results! Is it normal to take a few weeks for results? It is driving me crazy not having the results.

I would call the dr tomorrow. Blood work should only take 24-72 hours. Also, there is a new app for the phone that you can request results be sent to you. The app is called Gazelle. I love it!! Not sure if its available everywhere.

I definitely would, too. That's a looong time to wait for your results! I can't imagine that any test would take that long...

I have called on friday, and no one returned my call. I also called yesterday and no one returned my call. I am getting very frustrated.

Show up on their doorstep and ask for the results. Once you get the results, ask to speak with the office manager and let them know you have called twice on two separate days and left messages and no one had the courtesy of returning your call. It wouldn't hurt to let the doctor know, too. They are assuming the office help are doing their jobs.

If you do have fibro, your blood work most likely will come back "normal". Talk about frustrating.

the fibro had been diagnosed by three doctors now they are just cchecking for other possible issues.I talked to someone this morning and says the doctor wants to personally go over the results with me and to call back at 5pm.

I'm glad you are getting results now. It would have been nice if they told you that last Friday.

Out of two pages worth of blood tests, he called and said "Your Vitamin D levels and ABA (APA?) levels are normal." I feel like he didn't give me the results of a lot of stuff, but we'll see. Maybe when I go in on June 4th he will go over them in more detail.

Ask for a copy to be made for you, so you can keep it. My doctor always mails mine to me.

He said it was supposed to be mailed, but I haven't received it yet. If I don't have it by my next appointment I will ask for a copy.
