Groin pain and fibro

Hi
Just wondered if any one else suffers with sharpe pains in the Groin, ive had this on and off for a few years now, have had scans for cysts which were found but then they dispersed on their own, the last scan showed nothing, but ive had this pain again now for 3 weeks its a kind of dragging pain but with sharpe stabbing pains that make me catch my breathe, ive read on another forum that this is common, just wondered if anyone else gets this and has been told its another thing that goes with fibro, have booked in to see G P on the 3rd july, just to get things checked again

Hi Jenny,

Sometimes I'll get sharp stabbing pains but they tend to move around like the rest of the FMS pain does, rather than staying in one area. If it's localised pain, I'm thinking that maybe it's not fibromyalgia but something else (considering your history, probably cysts again). It's definitely a good idea to see your doctor. I hope it turns out to be nothing serious.

This might be sacroiliitis.  I would get severe groin pain that went all they way below my knees and trying to lift my feet to walk was really bad and it was nearly impossible to get my legs into bed.  Is this what you are experiencing?

 

I suggest you see a board certified rheumatologist who treats fibro patients.  Most do...the good ones.  smilewinkgrin    That's what I did to get help for the groin pain.
