I think some natural solutions can be very beneficial, but personally, I strictly avoid any of them which have anything spiritual that conflicts with my religious beliefs. I heard a talk by Moira Noonan a few years ago, and it really
opened my eyes on this subject. I learned they can seem to be harmless, but that's definitely not always true.
ETA: In the past, I have tried arnica for pain, but felt it didn't help a lot. I am still interested in trying herbal remedies for headaches and leg cramps, and have seen various homeopathy products for them. It's interesting some people call herbal remedies 'homeopathy' while others, such as mentioned in the above post, disagree. I received a homeopathy catalog in the mail which only contains herbal remedies.
But yes--one definitely has to be careful even with herbs, especially as they can interfere with medications.
