Homeopathic Fibro relief product?

Has anyone heard of/tried a homeopathic product called "Temporary Fibromyalgia Pain and Discomfort Relief" from a company called TRP (The Relief Products)? A friend of mine saw an ad for it and pointed it out to me. I was wondering if anyone had tried it and if so what your impressions were?

Well, since it seems no one else has heard of or tried this product, thought I'd find it and give it a try. I'll let you all know how it goes. I started taking it Thursday. Hard to quantify results so far. Only way I can really describe it is "slightly less miserable".

Over did it yesterday running a few errands and celebrating Mom's 70th B-day (good party!) and expected a nasty pain flare this morning. Far from what I'd call a good day, but not quite as misserable as I expected to be. And hey, if that's all it does, I''l take it. But hopefully the effect will increase over time. tongue

So I finished the bottle of this stuff - about a month supply taking twice a day.

- First, it's the strangest "pill" I've ever taken. Its got a coating like on m&m's that you dissolve in your mouth. Once that coating is gone you swallow it like a normal pill. But that few seconds it's in your mouth after the coating is dissolved but before you can swallow it with water, it's very bitter and yucky.

- Initially it seemed like it might provide some very small improvement, for the first week or so.

- After that, any small improvement was gone and I noticed no changes at all. I've stopped taking it for about a week and no real change for good or bad.

I figure, oh well. For $20 it was worth a shot. We all react differently so maybe it might work better for someone else.

Have you tried Turmeric? There has been a lot of research being done on it. My husband's oncologist recommended for him to take. I also have seen other posts where people with fibro are having luck with it. I asked our chiropractor who specializes in neurology to double check the ingredients in the one that I found and he said I was good to go as far as product quality. The brand I asked him about was New Chapter Turmeric Force in case anyone is interested. The New Chapter brand has no sugars, dyes or fillers So you are getting what you pay for.

I take or eat turmeric during really awful flares, and it decreases the flare and the pain as well. If eating, make sure it is high quality turmeric, and organic if possible. It works every time.

My usual dose is about a tsp in food, and I also take UDO's choice liquid vegetarian fish oil with DHA with it.

Two days in, pain, flare, and grouchy self is much improved.

Of course, as with everything, it might work for me and not you.
