I had most of my molars taken out way back in April. Originally, I was going to need a too dental plate but the dentist changed his mind (after having the plate paid for and ordered). I then did imprints for partials. I've been waiting, quite patiently, for those to come in. Today I get a call that the lab lost my imprints and I have to start all over again. They are lucky that I'm too sick to raise a fuss cause I'm mad and frustrated! I really don't need anymore stress.

Hope you don't have to wait too long to get the ball rolling again. Fibromites seem like they are always made to wait for something. We must be the most patient people around :)

Ooh that's lousy! I hope you're not having to still pay for the plate you're not getting? Or for the 2nd partials? (And I hope they apologized profusely...)

No, Angelic, you sure didn't need this. I've had a high level of stress lately too, and it ain't good for nuthin'! I'm trying to keep it at bay, but I feel like I'm minding my own business, driving down the road, and stuff keeps flying into my windshield! No chance to deeply calm down.

What exactly do you have to do over? Do you really like this dentist, or is a 2nd opinion a good option at this point?

I have to go back on Monday and do the upper and lower imprints again. He gave me the plate and its sitting in a drawer. I didn't pay anything extra after he decided I needed the partials instead. He said he'd eat that cost.

They were not as apologetic as you'd think. It could be because I've not been feeling good but she was pretty blase about the whole thing. Told me I'd have to come in on Monday because the lab lost the imprints.

He's a good dentist when it comes to understanding a patients anxiety. He gases me up! Lol. He knows I'm scared of all the dental stuff so they try hard to make me comfortable. I'm not so pleased about all of this mess, though. He pulled these molars in April and I still can't eat anything but soft foods! I expected to have been done with this months ago. He's going to hear about my displeasure on Monday! I've been sick with a horrible infection that has become calcified in my sinus cavity. Been very sick to my stomach so working in my mouth should be fun.

No kidding. Well, I hope your infection has subsided by Monday and it's not too bad. And that you can get lots of rest this weekend.
