Fibro with Costochondritis other symptoms wiith exertion

Last night , with a lot of exertion, I had pain start in my neck, my left molar and left jawline, and between shoulder blades. I do have a flare of costo at the moment. Is this something that any of you are familiar with who are dealing with multiple symptoms. My activity levels have increased slightly but the pains I was getting have worried me and I suffer from Anxiety too. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Sounds like it could be pain from exertion, resulting in a worsening of the costo flare. (I always think costco, and get myself confused.) When I overdo, I notice pain in all the unusual places. But, the usual coda that I am not a doctor of medicine.

I don't mean to hijack this post, but can I ask how you were diagnosed with costochondritis? I've been dealing with near-constant chest pain since January, made worse by exertion and especially when I lift anything of substantial weight (e.g., my 22lb dog). It's extremely frustrating and my GI hasn't been able to figure out what's going on. A chest x-ray and EKG back in April were normal (except for showing signs of asthma) and a CT scan of my chest in May was also normal, so it doesn't appear to be a cardiac issue.

Thanks for both of your replies. Vitaka, no worries, I know how hard it is and you have my empathy. I was diagnosed about three years ago by both exclusion of cardiac but the main diagnosis of Costochondritis comes from a hands on exam in which the ribs or chest area will be painful when the doctor touches around the area. My costo gives me pain which varies and tightening breathing issues etc and you mentioned lifting ; this will definitely make it worse. I think that the muscles are fatigued and inflamed and act up. Best advice I can give you is if you are using a computer do not lean inwards. Watch how you are lifting things avoid strain on chest. Rest when it's unbearable and use cold or heat. I'm almost sure that half the issues I have are because of inactivity because of fatigue and bad posture. It's hard to get back but it's possible; or I keep hope it is. I'm more active now than I was ssix months ago but I pay the price too with muscle spasms in my chest wall, but once I gave into this illness and I am fighting back.
