It is great to set goals. They do, however, need to realize-able and possible and probable. Many people, when starting a task, will set unreasonable goals and have expectations far in advance of what they can accomplish. When you don't reach a goal, it is then easy to stop, to blame yourself, and go no further because you CAN'T do it.
But, when you succeed, it gives you the enthusiasm to go on and reach for more.
I schedule things in life so that I can get them done, not as fast as possible, but within an accepted framework. I do not attempt more than one or two things a day. Incidentally, this is the way to build up energy and reserves. If you go a little at a time, you can reach more because you are efficient.
