Rheumy appointment tomorrow

I had a positive ANA test a while back, so my NP wanted me to see a rheumatologist to test for RA and lupus. The titers for lupus were all negative and the RF and anti CCP were also negative. I'm not really looking forward to another round of tests that come back negative, but at least they will further help to narrow down a diagnosis. I hurt so much these days that having any answers will be a blessing.

It's annoying to wait so long to be told they didn't find anything. Unfortunately, that's how it goes with some diseases. Just try to focus on the positives. Like, you don't have ra or lupus.

I am new around here. What are all of the testings you're doing? I'm not studied up on the acronyms. :)

ANA is a test that looks for autoimmune diseases. RF and anti CCP are tests that look for rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Definitely focus on the positives! Negativity can take you so much further down!
