Has anyone ever tried a chromatherapy tub? If so, does it help at all?
I've used whirlpool/massaging jetted tubs and they really help to relax me and relieve some of the pain, at least for a little while. But I've never tried one with chomatherapy.
We're looking at replacing our bathtub and I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the extra cost to get one with that feature.
Thanks!
Have a blessed day!

I had never heard of it, so I looked it up.
I do not think I would go to the bother. It sounds a little odd to me.

It's based on the belief that lights can affect your moods. Like aromatherapy affects your moods.

Define the tub. As in the actual tub tiles are are carefully chosen colors?

I just googled. As long as you can change the colors whenever you want easily, and its not going to break the bank, I see no problem with it. I am a super aesthetic person and believe that making a conscious choice of design elements can certainly help your mood. Meaning, I'm not the type of person who can ignore her surroundings. I turn into my surroundings, it just takes time.
You could also use colored light bulbs and colored decorative elements cheaper and it should still do the same thing, in theory. I would actually be super curious about
red light therapy in the tub...

Hmm, that does sound interesting!
OT - am I the only one who finds it creepy that we're talking about
bathtubs, and suddenly the ads on the page are for tiles and jacuzzis?
I do not like it, not one little bit.

So chromatherapy is an option on some of the newer, therapy/massaging bathtubs that adds lights inside the tub that can change colors based on the mood you want to set. It's can be added to some tubs that already have water and/or air jets.
Another possible option is aromatherapy. I figured that was a waste of money - can easily do the same thing with candles or reed diffusers.
I just wasn't sure if the chromatherapy option is worth the additional cost. I'm thinking it's one of those things that if the tub I choose for it's other features has it, okay whatever, but I'm not going to add it to the list of must haves or spend any additional to get it.
Thanks for your input all!
Have a blessed day!

Agreed. Happy shopping. Hey, will you post a pic when it's complete? I'm curious what you end up with. :)
