I splurged...I got a microfiber bath mat and you know where I put it? In the kitchen at the sink and dishwasher. I found this microfiber bath mat at Walmart for $15. I love it! So cushiony and soft. I have bonuses with this mat, more comfort, soft, warm, cushiony and less pain when I am done doing dishes. Has anyone else used these and get a tad less pain? Usually after doing the dishes and standing that long I have to use the wall for support til I get to the rocking chair we tactfully put at the end of the wall that leads to the living room. I made it today without using the wall, and I've done way too much that I should of waited for Gary to do when he gets home from work. Don't worry, I cheated whilst cleaning the kitchen after the dishes...I used the rolling office chair and wheeled around doing the counters and floor and stovetop. I wanted to surprise him and I am experimenting with things on how to bring me comfort and less pain whilst trying to keep a household running. Gary does his best, he helps a lot, but he has relapsing multiple sclerosis and works full time. He cooks dinner majority of the time too, and does most of the cleaning. I want to help more so I'm coming up with odd ideas to help with the pain and comfort like our bath mat in the kitchen and a rolling office chair.
