After a, l these years Ihave finally found a Doctor who believes in having me pain free. Yes Yes Yes I know now she can see I really need pain killers for my back and hip.
Who knew that having cartilage missing from between bones could hurt so much.
But now I am pain free with pain killers for break through pain.
I never knew how much pain I was suffering until now

I am thrilled for you that you are pain free :) That is just fantastic news :)

But I am very concerned about hard-core synthetic man made drugs / painkillers.

Hi Kathy,

I am also glad you aren't any pain. But concerned about the drugs?

I am sure you have tried all the supplements in the past. I am wondering now that you have control of the pain if they might not help more too. Like omegas, grape seed and turmeric. Let us know if you venture into using a combo of both and how it goes.

Again, soooo happy that you are pain free. As we all know the pain can just consume us.

Good for you, Kathy!

It's pretty hard to live your life when PAIN is constantly occupying your mind, front and center. As someone who also needs these meds (but it always trying to cut back on them when possible) I understand just what you mean.

In a perfect world, there wouldn't be a need for them....but until then, we do what we have to do.

You said "pain free" - - you mean totally pain free? I haven't been that way for decades, really...well, maybe the first few days I was on a new, stronger med, but that doesn't last. Some is always in the background.

Kathy- I am glad your pain is getting well controlled. We are all different in how are bodies respond to pain. Some might need more then others. Good luck in keeping it controlled.

Kathy-GREAT news! I, too, had a doctor a few years ago who didn't believe in fibro, and wouldn't prescribe painkillers.

Everyone needs to make their own choices about the way they treat their condition.

I am happy to hear your pain is more bearable.
