Hi, Sofina, and welcome! I have had hip and leg problems and it got very bad where is was too painful to walk. Fibro isn't a progressive illness so I went to see a Rheumatologist who ran a lot of tests. I was found to have something called ankylosing spondylitis and also sacroiliitis. I was given ibuprofen with food and a muscle relaxer called Robaxin and now that pain is pretty much gone and I can walk with no pain whatsoever. So, you could have several things going on.
As far as a frozen shoulder...I have healed myself from a frozen shoulder by finding the trigger points that are causing the pain. I bought a book on Amazon called The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook that shows you where the trigger points are that are causing certain pains in your body. You massage these trigger points and that helps. It did take me about six months to totally rid my body of the frozen shoulder. Before I did the trigger point therapy, I couldn't raise my arm above my shoulder, couldn't reach behind my back, couldn't put dishes in the cupboard or reach for anything without horrible pain shooting in my arm and shoulder. Now I can do the backstroke when swimming.
If you go to Amazon.com and look up that book, they let you read a little to see if you are interested. In the book it has diagrams that show your body and where the trigger points are for the pain you are having. For the frozen shoulder the trigger points were in my neck, two places in the shoulder, and also my chest wall.
If you haven't already, please read Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there.
