Violet, I'm sorry you are dealing with this. If the test isn't totally necessary then go with your gut feeling. The doctors are truly trying to help but, since they don't know what is causing fibro yet, they are blindly trying to help you. It's frustrating for us and for them. But, when they imply that it's all in your head, that's where I draw the line.
If you do have nerve damage in your arms, what can they do about it? If there is nothing they can do anyway, why go through the painful test? Now, if they can really help you, great! Might be worth trying again. But I sure have never heard of nerve damage being repaired or helped by much but, then again, I'm not a doctor. I'm just giving my personal opinion...which of course could be wrong. I'm glad I don't have to make this type of decision.
I have weird things that happen with me with fibro. I usually don't mention them because they go away eventually...but something else crops up to take it's place.
