Everybody is different.
I continued to work as a professor until May of this year, and quit for a number of reasons, health included.
I was going batty with no work.
I am subbing fulltime now, and am so much happier. Yah, I have fog sometimes, but I just play it. The audience doesn't know you are making a mistake, you know, unless you tell them. I do not think I would work anywhere that my fog would be a danger. Classroom management is classroom management--whether they be sixth graders or grad students. I do NOT work with elementary school, because for me that would be overwhelming. Even middle school is a task for me-I start to wear out after lunch.
