diagnosed with fibro in 2008

I was diagnosed with fibro in 2008 I am here because I think their is something else wrong that all the doctors/specialists/ER visits sometimes being admitted are missing I am constantly waking up very dizzy,vertigo,nauseous, migraines, balance problems, unsteady gait, constipated, dry mouth and eyes, I lose weight without trying too, weak, fatigued, faint, lightheaded,double vision, stiffness, muscle aches and pains, nerve pain, just overall ill, i can hardly get out of bed most of the time unless I force myself too then I have to pay for it later, I oversleep I get more than 8 hours of sleep and still exhausted its like I never slept, sometimes I'm hungry then I'm not but know I have to eat something. I am very concerned about what's happening to me...thank you to any comments

I use to think I had another illness going on beside fibro. It took more test to confince me that I only suffered from fibro. It doesn't hurt to get that checked out because you just never know. I pray that you don't have MS. I can understand how you feel wanting to figure out why the crazy symptoms.

Hi, CheeChee, and welcome! You know, once you find what helps you be in control of your pain, you can have a full and enjoyable life. I wish there was one thing we all could take that would help us but it's more a trial and error type thing for us. You really don't have to be nearly disabled with fibro. You can do a lot of things when you get the pain under control.

I use ibuprofen with food, Tylenol, magnesium malate, vitamin D3, and a muscle relaxer that helps with my pain and fatigue. I keep moving and that is important. If you sit or lay too long you will be stiff as a board and have more pain. I walk and/or swim daily, do stretching exercises, and pace myself when doing things. I've had fibro for 27 years and it's been a fairly normal life for me in spite of this illness. I just find ways to work around fibro to do the things I want to do. I can't move the piano during spring housecleaning anymore....oh, darn! But I can do most things by pacing myself. I always try.

Be sure to read Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there. There are links about the vitamin and supplement I mentioned above and how these work in your body. There also is a good link about maintaining a positive attitude when you have chronic pain. Attitude really does help with this illness. I look at all I CAN to and I've even added to that list over the years.
